Fishing Holidays & Guiding with Chasing Fins
We are delighted to welcome local fishing guide James Armstrong from Chasing Fins, to our beautiful stretch of the River Coquet, a cherished sanctuary for anglers and nature enthusiasts alike.
As a young boy, James grew up in Longframlington, fishing for trout before progressing to salmon and sea trout on the banks of the River Coquet. Situated between Weldon Bridge and Pauperhaugh, Brinkburn occupies a prime position along the Coquet's 'middle stretch'. The stretch has beckoned to James since his childhood with promises of abundant catches and serene landscapes.
Teaming up with Chasing Fins, we are thrilled to offer bespoke fishing holidays and guided excursions in the years to come. Guests can immerse themselves in the tranquility of the Coquet as they embark on residential fishing packages, tailored to fulfil every angler's dream. Our boutique holiday cottages on the estate provide the perfect retreat after a day on the river, ensuring a restful and rejuvenating experience.
Last year, James exchanged vows with his now wife, Naomi, amidst the timeless beauty of Brinkburn Northumberland: "Not only does Brinkburn have a lovely stretch of River which has always been kept private, but it organises the most incredible weddings and has a superb variety of boutique holiday cottages and accommodation." - James Armstrong
As we eagerly anticipate the season ahead, we invite you to explore everything Brinkburn has to offer for fishing enthusiasts. Keep an eye out for upcoming dates for our fishing holidays with Chasing Fins, tailored to provide an unforgettable experience on the River Coquet.
