Specialist Weddings at Brinkburn.

Humans have gathered at Brinkburn for a thousand years. To celebrate, connect – and create lifelong memories.

Brinkburn is a wooded ravine, beside the River Coquet in Northumberland. Crafted by time. Captured in time. Harnessing only what the past has gifted us, Brinkburn stages just 20 Limited Edition, Specialist Weddings per calendar year.

A Brinkburn Specialist Wedding is for between 22 to 52 people (80 in the evening).

Ultra-bespoke, a Brinkburn wedding can include wild swimming, sunset yoga, forest walks, sound baths, fire-pit gatherings and beach walks.

Accommodation is on-site cottages for up to 22 people, then local partner venues. Food and specialist drinks are freshly prepared on- site by Michelin Star trained chef Tom Rookes (The Elder Tree). Indoor and outdoor spaces are visioned, planned and designed together. And there is onsite parking for all.

There are three different locations to marry at Brinkburn. Brinkburn Priory, Brinkburn Manor House and In Nature at Brinkburn.

Brinkburn’s Specialist Wedding Team believe that the most important ingredient of all, when crafting a genuinely unique and personal wedding event – is time.

Everything we are is because of what time has gifted us. Forests. Rivers. Weathered architecture. This season’s wildlife, birds, fruits and flowers.

In recognition of our belief in allowing the right amount of quality time and space to make magic, Brinkburn’s Specialist Wedding Team invests more of the right kind of time in setting the stage for your wedding – than any other venue.

Furthermore, in the planning stage of your wedding, such is our affection for what only time can create, we will explore a bespoke package – for you – that might include preserves, fermented pickles, ‘slow cakes’, fermented alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks and syrups, bespoke screenprints and pottery.

Brinkburn Priory is monumental in presence yet personal in experience — a place where centuries of history surround you and connection feels immediate, peaceful and real.
THE MANOR HOUSE

The Neo-Gothic Manor House stands with enduring significance — a historic country house, once refined and now exposed and pared back, where authentic architecture and personal connection meet with confidence.
THE RIVERSIDE

The Riverside is a raw natural setting shaped by years of organic growth — a place for gathering, reflection and celebration, where water, light and landscape create a deep sense of presence.
THE BARN

The Barn is rustic yet considered — shaped by timber, stone and soft light. Here, beauty lies in simplicity, and celebration unfolds in a space where connection naturally takes centre stage.
THE ARCHES

The Arches create a Tuscan-inspired indoor–outdoor space, set on the original threshing floor and framed by heritage farm machinery. At its heart, a long communal table invites shared dining, conversation and stories carried across generations.
THE TIPI BAR

The Tipi Bar forms a gentle circle of shelter — timber beneath, canvas and soft light enclosing the space. Intimate and cocooning, it slows the pace and draws people closer, deepening the feeling of belonging.
MEADOW + TIPI

The Meadow opens wide into the Northumberland landscape — bounded by woodland and alive with open sky and fresh air. It is a place to gather fully outside, where celebrations begin in the landscape itself before moving inward to warmth and shelter.
THE COURTYARD GARDEN

The courtyard garden links the venue and accommodation, creating a shared space where those staying and those arriving naturally cross paths. Framed by stone walls and open sky, it becomes a place of arrival, pause and gentle reconnection.
LOFT

The Loft is a serene yoga and wellness studio created for holding space with care. Original lime beams, low-set windows and soft natural light give it a quiet, unadorned character — simple, honest and deeply calming — ideal for weaving wellbeing into a wedding weekend.
TREATMENT ROOM

The Treatment Room offers a grounded, restorative environment designed for deep rest. More enclosed and softly lit, it provides a calm and private setting for massage and bodywork — a place to slow down, release and reset.
THE DAIRY + ANNEX

THE BRIDAL SUITE

The original dairy for the estate is now a welcoming cottage with additional annex.
BEL HOUSE

Bel House is the original gatehouse for The Priory and Manor House with southerly views over fields and the estate drive.
BLAKEY HOUSE

Blakey House is a lovingly restored home-from-home and is part of a row of four terrace cottages called ‘The Gardeners Cottages’.
CUTHBERT HOUSE

Cuthbert House is a rose covered cottage with a beautiful open plan kitchen, overlooking the surrounding fields and woodland.
MULLINS HOUSE

Mullins House is a welcoming, comfy home-from-home and is part of a row of four terrace cottages called ‘The Gardeners Cottages’.
BLAKEY + CUTHBERT HOUSE

Blakey and Cuthbert are two adjoining cottages. Blakey House is a lovingly restored home-from-home. Cuthbert House is a rose covered cottage with a beautiful open plan kitchen, overlooking the surrounding fields and woodland.
